BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
-
To help ensure the best possible results, please follow these guidelines prior to your appointment:
• Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before your appointment.
• Limit caffeine on the day of your appointment, as it may increase sensitivity or bleeding.
• Avoid non-essential aspirin, ibuprofen/Advil, and other medications or supplements that may increase bleeding before your appointment. Do not discontinue any prescribed medication without first consulting your healthcare provider.
• Avoid retinoids, exfoliating acids, and other irritating or skin-thinning products around the treatment area leading up to your appointment.
• Botox, fillers, chemical peels, laser treatments, and other cosmetic treatments should be completed well in advance of your appointment. Contact us if you're unsure whether enough time has passed.

Most clients describe the procedure as very tolerable. A topical numbing product is used when appropriate to help minimize discomfort throughout the service. Sensitivity varies from person to person, but many clients are surprised by how comfortable the appointment actually is.
You may experience slightly more sensitivity depending on factors such as your menstrual cycle, caffeine intake, or individual pain tolerance.
-
Absolutely not! Your natural brow hair is incorporated into your customized brow design.
Only minimal grooming may be done outside of the approved shape to create a clean, polished result. Our goal is to enhance your natural brows—not remove them.
-
Absolutely.
Before tattooing begins, your brows are carefully mapped and customized based on your facial features, natural brow growth, bone structure, and desired result.
You'll have the opportunity to review the shape and make adjustments with your artist. Tattooing will not begin until you approve your final brow shape.
For lip blush, we also discuss your desired healed color and treatment plan before beginning the procedure.
-
A consultation is not required for most permanent makeup appointments, but one is available for clients who would like additional guidance before booking.
Our 20-minute PMU Consultation is $50 and is ideal if you would like to discuss your brow or lip goals in person, have previous permanent makeup that may require correction, or simply aren't sure which service is right for you.
During your consultation, we'll discuss your desired results, evaluate any existing permanent makeup, recommend the best treatment option, answer your questions, and complete a quick brow shaping/mapping when applicable.
Your $50 consultation fee will be applied toward the balance of your permanent makeup appointment when booked within 3 months of your consultation.
RESULTS + LONGEVITY
-
Permanent makeup is designed to fade gradually over time.
Brows typically last 1–3 years, depending on your skin type, lifestyle, skincare routine, sun exposure, and other individual factors.
Lip blush typically lasts 2–3 years, although longevity varies from person to person.
To keep your results looking fresh, a color boost may be recommended as your pigment naturally fades. Daily SPF and avoiding excessive exfoliation over the treated area can also help preserve your results.
-
A touch-up is highly recommended for new permanent makeup clients.
Your initial appointment creates the foundation of your results, while your 6–12 week touch-up allows us to assess how your skin retained the pigment and perfect any areas that healed lighter or unevenly.
After your initial touch-up, future color boosts are based on your individual fading and personal preference. Some clients prefer to refresh their brows annually, while others can comfortably go longer between appointments.
Your permanent makeup should be faded enough to warrant additional pigment before booking a color boost.

Your artist will evaluate your natural brows, skin, and desired result to help determine the best technique for you.
HEALING + AFTERCARE
-
The initial healing process typically takes approximately 7–14 days, while the skin continues to heal and the pigment settles over the following several weeks.
During healing, your permanent makeup may appear darker or more intense immediately after your appointment. As the area heals, you may experience light flaking, dryness, or temporary unevenness in color.
Don't panic if your pigment appears very light during parts of the healing process! This is normal. The color will continue to settle as your skin heals.
Your final healed results should be evaluated around 6–8 weeks after your initial appointment.
-
Permanent makeup goes through several stages before reaching its final healed result.
Immediately after your appointment, the color may appear darker, warmer, or more defined than your final result. Over the following days, the treated area may begin to lightly flake or peel as the skin heals.
As the flaking subsides, the pigment may temporarily appear lighter or uneven. This is part of the healing process and does not necessarily mean your pigment has disappeared.
Over the following weeks, the color will gradually settle and soften into its healed result.
Please do not pick, peel, scratch, or prematurely remove any flaking skin.
-
Proper aftercare is essential for healthy healing and optimal pigment retention.
After your appointment, you will receive detailed aftercare instructions specific to your procedure. In general, clients should:
• Keep the treated area clean and follow the cleansing instructions provided by your artist.
• Apply only the aftercare products recommended by Siren Beauty Bar.
• Do not pick, scratch, peel, or rub the treated area.
• Avoid excessive sweating, swimming, saunas, steam rooms, and prolonged water exposure during the initial healing period.
• Avoid makeup, skincare products, exfoliants, retinoids, and active ingredients directly on the treated area until healed.
• Avoid excessive sun exposure while healing.
• Once completely healed, use SPF to help protect your results from premature fading.Your exact aftercare may vary depending on the procedure, so always follow the instructions provided to you at your appointment.
